West Central District (SHSAA)

It's a busy weekend across Saskatchewan for SHSAA sports.  March 8/9 events includes provincial championships in Wrestling and Curling, and conference playoffs for many basketball categories.

West Central has five athletes competing at the SHSAA Provincial Wrestling Championship at Evan Hardy Collegiate in Saskatoon: 

Female

Elrose - Kelli Torrance (80kg) 

Rosetown - Neda Robertson (47kg)

Male

LCBI's  Angelo McKernan (56 kg)

Outlook - Dameon Dempsey (130 kg)       

Rosetown - Denys Kuzmych (59 kg)

SHSAA Provincial Curling Championships are being hosted in three locations:

Boys Championship @ Gull Lake

Girls Championship @ Ituna

Mixed Championship @ Lampman

No West Central teams have advanced.

The Road to Hoopla begins for 1A, 2A, 3A Boys, and 3A Girls. Two West Central schools -Davidson and LCBI are one of several host sites in 1A and 2A boys.
