The LCBI Lady Bisons 7v7 soccer team captured the bronze medal at the provincial championship tournament, capping off an exciting weekend of competition.

The Lady Bisons faced four other teams in round robin play, finishing with a 2-2 record. Balanced offensive production came from Cassidy Ireland, Ilaria Blaser, and Glory Corlan, who combined for five goals in the preliminary round.

LCBI advanced to the bronze medal match against Rosthern Junior College, where the team delivered their strongest performance of the tournament. The Lady Bisons jumped out to a commanding lead and held on for a 5-2 victory.

Goalie Chelsa Wagner was instrumental throughout the tournament, making several key saves including multiple penalty shot stops that kept games competitive. Her play proved crucial in the bronze medal match when RJC mounted a late comeback attempt, scoring two quick goals in the second half. Wagner shut the door on the rally, and the Lady Bisons responded with another goal to seal the victory.
